What is... Our Vision

To see Jesus Christ glorified by extending His transforming grace spiritually, socially and culturally to greater Los Angeles and the world through church planting.

What is... Our Mission

To plant a minimum of 30 new churches in the greater Los Angeles basin by the year 2020.

In order to fulfill this mission, we believe that we need to plant new churches with capable leaders and adequate resources which will become healthy, thriving and accountable churches. While this is no small task, we trust that we can achieve this goal through initial donor support, oversight from the Pacific Presbytery's Mission to North America (MNA) Committee and involvement of the VISIONLA advisory board.

We seek to accomplish this in three phases.

 
2005-2010
To establish VISIONLA and start five strategic church plants by the year 2010
2010-2015
For those five churches to reinvest the initial funding given to them over five years in order to help plant 10 new churches (total 15 new churches by 2015)
2015-2020
For those ten churches to reinvest the initial funding given to them over five years in order to help plant an additional 15 new churches (total 30 new churches by 2020)

 

By God's grace, we believe VISIONLA will begin to saturate greater Los Angeles with gospel-centered churches and that Jesus Christ will indeed transform the city and through it, the world.
